While heading towards my hotel, my eyes were peeping outside, seeking for Kolhapuri slippers, my all-time favourite. I grew up wearing these slippers. Comfortable, ethnic and stylish, the slipper says it all. At last, I got the one of my choice and ended up buying three to four pairs of them.
It had been quite some time and I enjoyed relishing the real taste of Kolhapur. The fort is well-connected to the city and this was a great convenient factor for me. I reached the Hotel Shalini Palace Kolhapur easily by a private cab. I spent that short trip while crazily looking out of the window as the city was simply colourful. The city and its folks profoundly stir the spirits of cheers and gratitude towards the designer of such an exquisite homeland. The splendid heritage and improbable archaeology followed with indigenous gardens and lakes, and magnificent temples of the city are bestowed by Goddess Mahalaxmi. All these features were mesmerizing to great extent. Hurrying towards the hotel as I was dying of hunger, I checked in the allotted room and ordered some mouth-watering snacks from the hotel’s menu card. Till then I freshened up in my sophisticated and well-furnished room with luxury bathroom and the accessories. Though ranked in budget background, the hotel is rather a choice of comfort. In the meantime my food arrived with aroma of flavours sprinkled in it and it was followed with coffee. I relished the delicacies of Kolhapur. They were simply authentic and had the awe factor. Though I generally avoid over eating despite being a foodie, this time it was a big failure. With a tight stomach and a great mood, I decided to encircle the hotel corridors and interiors. I must say it is literally an impressive and massive building with wood work on its entrance gate. Embellished with Italian marble and black stone, the carvings emerge out with special effects. The warm cosy atmosphere was inspiring me to have a long walk in the premises of the Hotel Shalini Palace Kolhapur but I failed to do so as I was badly tired. Without thinking any more I got back to my lavish room to have plenty of spare time chatting with friends online and stay relaxed for the rest of the evening. The next morning I had an appointment with Shree Chhatrapati Shahu Museum Kolhapur.

Phadatare Misal Kendra Kolhapur : Phadatare Misal Kendra Kolhapur is a lovely food outlet for those who desire a taste of the authentic Kolhapur food. The food here is spicy but definitely delicious. The Misal is usually served with Pav but you may also request for bread slices. The dish goes best if you top it with a dash of lime.
Aditya Park - a Sarovar Portico Hotel, Hyderabad - Offers Unparallel Comfort and Relaxation7/7/2014 The true barometer of the success of any trip rests with the quality of the accommodation facilities that one chooses. And I was very particular about it. Aditya Park- a Sarovar Portico, Hyderabad was everything that I looked in a hotel and more. The impressive outer facade had taken my breath away the moment I had laid eyes on it. What is more attractive about the place is its strategic location - it is close to the railway station, close to the landmarks of the city and more importantly close to a very good shopping mall. My plans to shop in the nearby mall were set the moment I could take some time out for it. I had booked the executive rooms for myself. Though it was a little out of my budget, I was prepared to make an exception because the online pictures of the hotel had me swooning. But I never make a bad judgment. The hotel staff members are extremely courteous and very helpful with my luggage and the rooms are very elegant and comfy. The hotel facilities included all the modern amenities and there is distinctive warmth in the ambience of the hotel. One does not realize but the sightseeing trips generally does make people very tired but if one has the correct place to put up, the traveling experiences enhance many folds. The same was the case with me. Each time when I was back, I would take in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel and have the most delicious foods in the hotel restaurant - the Promenade. One other place in the hotel - the Harry’s Pub was yet to be explored in the hotel and I intended to make time for it. The Aditya Park- a Sarovar Portico, Hyderabad provided a superb hospitality experience to its distinguished guests and some of the other facilities in the hotel included a Business Centre and a gymnasium. Dinner was due and I made way for it. I may try to call it the night fast this day because the following day I had to go to the St. George Church Hyderabad for yet another exciting day in Hyderabad.
It was a much awaited beautiful summer vacation. I had planned for this period since a long time and as finally the much awaited summer vacation had commenced, I didn’t want any shortcomings in my trip. I booked my tickets in the Korba express to travel from Chennai to Raipur and booked myself a decent accommodation from internet itself so that I had not to go worrying for a place to stay in during my visit to Raipur. I booked an economy room in the Hotel City Palace, Raipur which is one of the finest accommodations amidst the city. I reached at the Raipur junction at around 11 pm in the night. As soon as I reached the railway station, I hired a cab to drive me to the hotel. The hotel is at a distance of just 2 kilometers from the Raipur Railway Station. I had deliberately booked this hotel knowing that the railway station is close and it would not create much difficulty in reaching at the hotel on time. The hotel hosts a decent décor of rooms to its dwellers and offers them all sorts of luxuries during the stay. Apart from the fact that the hotel is located in close proximity to the Raipur railway station, there are number of other places in the close vicinity. The hotel is located in the Banjari Road in Golbazar. The Balaji temple, Maitri Baghzoo, Mahant Ghasi Das Memorial Museum, Hatkeshwar Mahadev temple and Dudhadari temple are also located quite near. So I had planned few lookouts to these places as well when I am done with the regular trips. The rooms of the hotel are contemporarily designed with warm colors in the interior and well furnished to provide the guests a warmth of reception. LED cable television, tea/coffee maker, intercom telephone facilities and Wi-Fi services add to the charm of your stay. Running cold and hot water with added features in the bathroom increased the lavish of the stay. Other conveniences offered can be listed down as twenty fours front desk assistance, travel assistance. Laundry facilities, car rental, room service, car parking and currency exchange are the other facilities one can avail during the stay.
Hotel City Palace, Raipur also promises its guest the warmth of service and hospitality. It was a truly delighting experience. Madness - Ramee Guestline Hotel : Madness Ramee is a hotel in Khar, Mumbai which offers multiple cuisine and lots of entertainment. After a hectic schedule visiting Mumbai local destinations, we went straight to the hotel and checked in for the night stay. We freshened up quickly in our allotted rooms and went to the restaurant in the hotel premises itself. The dinner was filled with an enormous variety of cuisines and we ate like anything. We were so excited with Mumbai’s cuisines that some of us did not even wait for other friends and started having the food. After dinner, we took a short walk in the premises and the corridors of the hotel. It was late night and the sky was attractive with the stars and so was the hotel, which was dazzling too with the sharp lights. Chateau Windsor Hotel, Mumbai consisted of 50 well-furnished accommodation and rooms with the new concept of hospitality and modern amenities to welcome the guests with warm greetings. The rooms allotted to us were deluxe rooms with imported and well-furnished bed systems. There are one-touch electronic control systems at the bedside to make it convenient for the guests. The entire bathroom is well-equipped with the fittings of the American brand bathroom accessories. The eco-friendly AC system and electronic safes are the added advantage and amenities to the guests. The housekeeping and the other serving staff are very cooperative and soft-spoken, which I liked the most. They are ready to serve anytime without any irresponsible gestures. Since the hotel is located in the heart of the city and near the Gateway, it has become a major accommodation entity in the corporate world and the tourists who come to explore the modern city. The atmosphere of the hotel is quiet and cozy. We loved the reception service too. They are always there to assist and serve with hospitality. The additional services offered by the hotel are enough car parking space, minor repairing and stitching at no cost, complimentary breakfast, competitive rates and tariffs, and 24-hour room service to serve the needs of the guests. On the whole, Chateau Windsor Hotel, Mumbai gave me a distinguished satisfaction and sense of contentment, which I packed in my mind and took with the memories of Mumbai.
After visiting the famous Lord Shiva temple, all of us were tired and felt relieved that we could head towards our hotel, the Ginger Hotel Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Prior to our travel, we had booked our stay in the hotel and I knew it is amongst the best three-star hotels in the city. What more, it fit our budget and had all the facilities to meet our needs. The hotel was centrally located at the Jaidev Vihar in the city. It was at a few kilometres from the most famous tourist spots, some of which we had already visited. We knew that we could easily reach all the other spots that we had planned to visit the next day. Moreover, the hotel was at a distance of just seven kilometres from the Biju Patnaik Airport and 5 kilometres away from the Bhubaneswar railway station. The facilities and other services in the hotel were just first class and we were happy to experience those. The hotel provided us with all the comfort and after travelling away from Chennai and visiting different places in the city we were very much tired. The rooms were quite big and we had planned to stay together in a single room. The spacious well-equipped rooms added to our memorable experience in Bhubaneswar. The hotel was considered as one of the best in the city and had all the arrangements for organizing corporate functions and seminars. After a tiring day, we called the room services and asked them to deliver our dinner in our own room. I was extremely excited to check out the different kinds of tasty food items being offered at the hotel. We decided to sleep early as we had to visit some more places the next day. I had a sound sleep on the comfortable beds in the Ginger Hotel Bhubaneswar, and woke up with the morning tea. The hotel had double-bedded, single-bedded and deluxe rooms for the convenience of the tourists. We decided to start our trip on the day by visiting the Odisha museum, which was not far from the hotel.
The last time I was street shopping for clothes and accessories, with my gang of besties, I remember settling for some delicious South Indian fare. Almost all of us have had some time or the other tried Idli Sambar at various restaurants and eateries, but this time it was unique! A couple of times after that, I tried making the cuisine at home, and it just turned out to be as perfect. Even you can prepare mouth-watering Idli Sambar Chutney at home. However, for that, you will have to remain a bit patient as it takes a little while to complete with the procedure of grinding, mixing, fermentation, and so on. Though, everything is worth the yummy taste of Idli Sambar. Try cooking it at home by following this simple recipe:- For Idli:

I am always enthusiastic and full of life when it comes to going around with for a joyride amidst the nature. I planned a visit to Tirupati in my winter holidays to make a trip of seven days. Having a great zeal towards nature and my affinity to photography has always made me go for fun trips all by myself. So this time during my stay in Tirupati, I looked for some budget hotels that would fit to my necessities and provide luxury as well. While I arrived at the Railway Station, I started enquiring about the budget hotels in the city with a few taxi drivers. Most of them recommended Annapurna Residency hotel. The hotel is located strategically at a distance of just 2 kilometers from the Main Railway Station and is in close proximity to other lookout places of Tirupati. For a shopaholic like me, the market place is also nearby which worked as an added advantage for me. Few other famous attractions near the hotel are Tirumala, Tiruchanur, Kapila Teertham, and Sri Kalahasti etc. The interior of the hotel is well furnished and aptly equipped with all the modern amenities. The hotel staff is gratifying and welcomes every guest with a warm smile on their face. My stay in Annapurna Residency Hotel, Tirupati provided me with luxurious options and multiple choices of foods to choose from. There are about three floors in the hotel that houses 30 well maintained rooms. All the rooms are luxurious having polished floors and walls painted with warm color. Rooms are fitted with air conditioner, cable television sets, and temperature controller, weighing machine, tea/coffee maker, thermo flask and complementary fruits. Wi-Fi connection is an added advantage in these rooms. The cordial ambience and spacious rooms replete with all modern amenities and provide its guests with a cozy lodging. The aura of the rooms fills the mind and soul with cheerful delights. One can never feel short for anything in the rooms. The spa within the hotel is known for its rejuvenating spa therapies and massage it gives to its patrons. Overall the experience of my stay in Annapurna Residency Hotel, Tirupati was fulfilling and full of comfort.
I reached Bangalore last week for an adventurous trip with my friends. The entire program was for three days. I was in search of a good hotel that would fill all our needs and would also be located within the city circle. Though we had a tight budget, we decided to stay at the Crystal Castle Hotel in Bangalore. This 3-star hotel served with awesome hospitability and luxurious services. The hotel is located in the JP Nagar and it was also advantageous for us as there are a number of tourist places near the vicinity. The Bangalore Cave Temple is just 5 kilometers from the hotel and Venkatappa Art Gallery, Ulsoor Lake, ISKCON temple and Halasuru Someshwara temple are just a few kilometers away. I am a shopping freak and love to do shopping whenever I have time. The Garuda Mall, UB City Mall and Forum Mall are all nearby as I spent a lot of time that particular night in buying stuffs for myself and my family. We reached the Bangalore station at 10 a.m. in the morning, which is just 10 kilometers away from the hotel. Then we went to the Inchara Bus stand from where the hotel is a walkway distance. We checked in to the hotel at 12 in the noon and the hotel boy escorted us to our respective rooms. There are standard AC rooms, Executive AC rooms and Crystal Suite rooms for different types of people. We stayed in the standard AC room owing to our tight budget.
There was a 32-inch LED television in my room, where I also found a mini refrigerator cum bar and tea maker. Complementary tea and coffee bags were provided in the room. The bathroom was well-equipped with a Jacuzzi to add to the luxury. There was adequate supply of hot and cold water throughout my stay. We were provided with complementary buffet breakfast every morning that had various delicacies to choose from. I had a wonderful time during my stay at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a luxurious stay with a nominal budget. |
